Do you think anyone would notice if I just had a go? What is about these cranes that turns me into a schoolboy? Fire trucks and planes also have the same effect. As Freud said the mind is a great rationaliser of childish emotions.

    I know exactly how you feel. That’s why I work at Phoenix-Zeppelin. 🙂 With all that Cat machinery, it’s easy to get lost in a childish fantasy.

    By the way, it’s a great feeling driving a track-type tractor with a blade full of dirt. Come to Prague and I’ll introduce you to some of the more fun machinery than a crane. 😀

    • I might take you up on that offer. When I was at school I was in the army cadets and once they let us drive these armoured bulldozers around. For a 16 year old kid that was you know, like, totally awesome.
